FREE MASTERCLASS:
Estrogen & Progesterone
On April 22nd @4pm PT/7pm ET
with Dr. Carrie Jones
Curious about Estrogen & Progesterone but feeling like you have more questions than answers?
I got you!
This Q&A Masterclass answers your questions because I understand your frustration!
Every time I do a Q&A, the question box fills to the brim once we go live because the hormone conversation is everywhere but when it comes to you, the details can feel messy, overwhelming and just plain confusing.
This60min masterclass is your next step: a live Q&A created specifically from the questions you submitted about estrogen and progesterone.
I’ve been prescribing hormone therapy for 21 years, follow the latest research closely, lecture all over the world on women’s health, and read your comments/dms closely. I know it’s confusing!
Here are your questions we’ll cover inside the webinar:
Can I do a sublingual progesterone troche instead of the oral kind?
The troche is sort of like oral progesterone but not quite. It’s must be compounded and a good one to discuss as it’s not used very commonly.
I’m 40 and still cycling regularly but not making much progesterone. Can I use chaste tree (Vitex) or is progesterone better?
This somewhat depends on your goals as I find vitex might be helpful in early perimenopause but it’s not the same as taking progesterone.
I’m getting menstrual migraines now. My doctor suggested some estrogen cream starting 3 days before my period. Thoughts?
I get those too! But yes, estradiol cream used a few days leading up to your period might help stabilize things BUT estrogen is not the only cause of migraines which we will discuss.
I still get my period every few months and have ALL the symptoms. I feel terrible but my obgyn said I have to go 12 months without a period before starting any estrogen. Is that true?
Nope. Not true at all. I’ll go into why some doctors feel this way and what can be done.
I HATE the estrogen patches. I’m so sensitive to the adhesives. Can I use the topical estrogen instead? How does that work?
Adhesive sensitivity is not uncommon! I’ll explain the different doses and applying topical estrogens.
I started 100mg of Prometrium daily 3 months ago. I’m not really sleeping still and now my cycles are all messed up. I’m 44yo and only a few years into perimenopause. My doctor said that’s to be expected but I think it’s the Prometrium, is that possible?
Yes! And both? It could be irregular cycles due to perimenopause and/or daily Prometrium might be impacting your cycle length which I’ll talk about.
I’m on the birth control pill and when I tested my estrogen, it was 8.6! That’s so low! Do I need estrogen now too?
The birth control shuts down your own production of those hormones. I’ll explain why estrogen is low!
I tried Black Cohosh for my hot flashes and it didn’t do crap. I thought it was estrogenic?
There are a few reasons the herb black cohosh didn’t work but it’s more serotonergic than estrogenic.
I am on 1mg of oral estradiol and now my testosterone is way lower. I’ve read that’s related but I don’t get how. Can you explain that? Should I stop the oral estradiol?
Ah yes, the common denominator is something called SHBG or sex hormone binding globulin.
I already have constipation and I heard progesterone can worsen it? I can’t have that. What are my options?
Oral progesterone can relax smooth muscles, including the colon! I will discuss different options!
Plus, I’ll cover many more questions!
Who should join me?
You! If you’re over 40 and curious (or downright confused) about hormone therapy, this class is for you.
If you’re reading through the 10 questions above and realize you have the EXACT SAME questions or maybe you’re ready to start but don’t know how or where to begin. Or maybe you’re not quite ready for hormones, but love masterclasses like this because you’re a curious cat.
This is the perfect place to start your education so you feel prepared when the time comes.
Join us on April 22nd at 4pm PT/7pm ET (yes, there is a replay!).
Welcome to class. Hormones can feel like herding cats. Let me help.
