FREE MASTERCLASS:

Estrogen & Progesterone

*June Birthday Edition*

with Dr. Carrie Jones

Curious about Estrogen & Progesterone but feeling like you have more questions than answers?

I got you!

This June Q&A Masterclass answers your questions because I understand your frustration!

Every time I do a Q&A, the question box fills to the brim once we go live because the hormone conversation is everywhere but when it comes to you, the details can feel messy, overwhelming and just plain confusing.

This 60min masterclass is your next step: a live Q&A created specifically from the questions you submitted about estrogen and progesterone.

I’ve been prescribing hormone therapy for 21 years, follow the latest research closely, lecture all over the world on women’s health, and read your comments/dms closely. I know it’s confusing!

Here are your questions we’ll cover inside the webinar:

  1. I’m 51yo and was told to stop E&P within 5-10 years? I thought I could stay on them forever?

WHAT!? Unless there is a compelling health reason to stop, you can stay on them. I’ll discuss the workup that’s needed as you get older and what reasons may make you have to go off of them.

  2. I’m using soy products and they help my hot flashes but I just had a DEXA and I have osteopenia. My doctor is suggesting using real estrogen, doesn’t the soy help my bones?

Estrogen therapy is actually indicated to prevent post-menopausal bone loss. I’ll explain why soy helped your hot flashes and how estrogen may help your bone health.

  3. I’m on 100mg of progesterone at night and just started getting heart burn. I’m assuming it’s the progesterone? Is there anything I can do?

Yes! Oral progesterone in particular can be relaxing to the smooth muscle. I’ll explain some options.

  4. For the first time ever, my period is 14 days late (and counting). I’m having so many hot flashes and night sweats, I feel awful, my mood sucks, can I start hormones now? At what dose?

Unless you have a major contraindication, the answer is likely yes! I’ll explain different options and what to do if your periods come back.

  5. The vaginal estrogen cream is making me ITCHY. I feel irritated. I hate it. What else can I do?

It’s likely NOT the estrogen itself but an ingredient in the cream irritating your tissues. There are options!

  6. I am on 200mg of progesterone and due to some bleeding and poor sleep, my OB said to go up to 300mg at night. Is that allowed? That seems like a lot.

Yes it’s totally allowed! Some women need more progesterone due to absorption issues. I can also explain other ideas to help.

  7. I still get my period but I’m on 0.05 of the patch and love it. It seems to even me out except this month my breasts are SO SORE. Is it the patch? Why would they hurt this month suddenly?

It’s possible you’re actually making MORE estrogen than expected this month coupled with the estrogen in the patch. It’s causing breast tenderness. I’ll explain options on what to consider.

  8. I switched from oral to vaginal progesterone but now I’m not sleeping as good. What can I do?

Yes, the vaginal doesn’t help the sleep as much as the oral. I’ll give you some other options.

  9. I haven’t had a period in 6 months. I’m on progesterone and started estradiol cream last month. I’m still having vaginal dryness. When will that get better?

It sounds like you need vaginal estrogen on top of the estradiol cream! I’ll explain why.

  10. I am thinking about switching to estrogen injections. Is it a big needle or a little needle?

You can actually do either but I’m seeing a lot of women use the small sub-Q needles. So nice!

Plus, I’ll cover many more questions!

Who should join me?
